recently installed aem fuel pressure gauge. works great. running 35-37 at idle and 44-45 at full throttle. week later the car is 26-30 idle and 34-36 full throttle. hoses are not leaking. just got done replacing rubber lines and filter. im assuming that its either the fuel pump ( assuming its original with 290,000 miles, squeaks somewhat) or the pressure regulator ( also could be original). how can i rule out if its the regulator or not? is it true that disconnecting the vacuum line to the regulator will keep pressure from dropping to normal idle pressure? if so then that should work to rule it out yes? Thanks in advance guys.
